On Wednesday, the euro jumped to a three-week high against the yen as a rise in U.S. stock markets fueled investors' appetites for higher-yielding currencies. The US dollar strengthened vs. the major currencies after data showed US inflation rose in January, casting doubt on expectations the Fed will aggressively cut interest rates. As the US economy slows down, inflation may cause implications on the Fed slashing overnight rates by another half percentage point from the current 3 %. Although the euro gained versus the yen Wednesday, it was unable to advance against the dollar as concerns began to mount that the U.S. economic slowdown and tighter credit market conditions might soon be passed on to the euro zone. The Sterling weakened against the dollar after stronger than expected US CPI data.

Apple tweaks iPhone for business uses
In January Apple CEO Steve Jobs said the company has sold 4 million iPhones since they went on sale June 29. The iPhone has claimed 28 percent of the U.S. smart phone market since its release here in June, according to Jobs. But many businesses have shied away because they want the device to work better with their corporate e-mail systems. To woo more business customers, Apple said Thursday it's tweaking the iPhone to support Microsoft Corp.'s Exchange software, which addresses a key weakness in the gadget and puts it in more direct competition with Research in Motion Ltd.'s BlackBerry and Palm Inc.'s Treo smart phones. Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, said the software update will give iPhones the security and integration of e-mail, calendars and contact lists that businesses have been demanding.

If it makes our government money, and they can continue to live lavishly, like the kings and nobles of England did, then they just don't care. The fact that nothing is going to happen with the charges against him, should outrage us AMERICANS! This is the mentality of foreigners, then add hatred to that equation and you have a deadly combination. But some, the bleeding hearts (as long as it ain't abortion issues) want to protect and shame us for caring!!!! What can we do? We can call our legislatures, president, the owners of the company (they can't shoot you through the phone) or mail a letter, nicely written with the points and NO threats. Let them know we want you OUT and you will never own another business in this country because we will follow you and make sure others knows what a threat you are to our country.
