New Al-Qaida Tape Reveals Desperate Attempt To Recruit Jihadis []

3/6/2008 10:09:20 PM In a desperate attempt to recruit more Jihadis, the Islamic terrorist organization Al-Qaida in Afghanistan announced in a new audio message Thursday that it needs electrical engineers, medical doctors, Islamic scholars and in particular "understanding wives."

The call was given by Mustafa Abu al-Yazeed, the self-proclaimed commander of the Islamic terrorist outfit's Afghan branch, in a 45-minute recruitment speech in a tape entitled, "They've lied, now comes the combat," that appeared on militant Islamist Web sites.

The terrorist outfit's leader also slammed Arab leaders for being traitors and urged scholars, doctors and electrical engineers to join the Mujahideen in their fight saying, "the combat needs all expertise and efforts."

Abu al-Yazeed also called on the parents to allow their sons to fight.

Just Say ‘Yes!’ to that Golf Invitation

I often hear women say they cant accept an invitation to play golf because they are not good enough. Heres an important reality check: Over one-third of all U.S. women golfers that is, women who play golf at least once a year score over 120. They enjoy the game, and so will you!

If you are a new golfer and feel unsure about how good a golfer you have to be to say "Yes" to an invitation at your corporate outing, for a casual game with friends or to venture out on the golf course at a resort, follow the seven guidelines below. And, by all means, accept that invitation. (I know these guidelines work because I have given many pre-outing workshops and the feedback confirms success.)

1. Play in Your Comfort Zone

Its okay to feel like a beginner and announce it up front.

Clinton says debate was turning point in New Hampshire victory

Like all of you. I know that health care is the most critical, and important issue facing the American people. Now, and in the coming elections. And like the vast majority of the American people, I want HR 676 (Medicare For All) passed into law NOW! "Single payer, Tax Supported, Not For Profit, True Universal Health Care" free for all as a right. Like every other developed country in the world has. See: http://www.house.gov/conyers/news_hr676.htm

“HR 676: For church goers: less money to insur. companies and more to the church- lots more. Srs on Medicare: save way over $100/wk. Because no more medigap, long term care & dental insur. needed. No more drug bills."

But if we the American people fail to bring enough pressure on our current politicians to get HR 676 passed into law before the elections.

Bonita Council candidates talk downtown improvements

The specifics vary, but mostly, the candidates share the belief that the area along Old 41 Road represents an important and historic piece of the city. But they also agree it's an area that still needs a good cleanup.

They talk of stronger law enforcement and stronger code enforcement.

To jump-start change, many of the candidates look to new uses for the public space at Riverside Park and the businesses that will be attracted to the still unstarted private development at Imperial Landing.

Veterans on the council like mayoral contender Jay Arend and Ben Nelson particularly like to point to their roles in bringing those projects about, and some new candidates including Janet Martin, who's running in the District 2 race, and Ronda Lyles Lawhon, who's running in the District 6 race, talk about wanting to build on that momentum.

Kucinich Undaunted by Fifth-Place Showing

I haven't been someone who on the campaign trail has railed about Republicans because the fact of the matter is, I see the flaws within my party and want to make it effective in the two-party system, and it hasn't been."

Kucinich then inferred that the views of surprise primary winner Hillary Clinton and second-place finisher Barack Obama are too similar.

In the middle of the meeting, Kucinich, who has called himself a "long-shot" candidate, was asked: "Your (polling) numbers are in the single digits … are you a serious candidate for president? Or are you a serious messenger for the direction in which the country should be going?"

"I'm a serious candidate for president because I'm a serious messenger," Kucinich responded.

As of Wednesday, his stance hasn't seemed to change.

Canada failing its obligations to children: UNICEF

But it will require people to truly see the problems, not just sit at home railing against a system that has the ability to provide education, training, and more today than ever, employment.

This lady could have been a better person and parent. But the cycle of despair and self-defeat is devastating. She needed to be put on a better path, even if she had to be dragged there.
