Sierra Club President Frank Barnas was spotted with this two children pulling debris out of a ditch near the river. The trio's most peculiar discoveries of the day were a toilet seat and skeletal remains of a pit bull.

An active member of KLVB and coordinator of the event, Dr. Carl Hand, expressed his gratitude for the volunteers and his desire to keep the waterways clean year-round.

"This has become a growing issue in the state and the efforts put forth today have made a big dent in the cleanliness of this particular site." Hand said.

Hand, also a sociology professor at VSU, mentioned that this was the first time this site had been visited. He added that since the KVLB's cleanup efforts at the St. Augustine site across from the Lowndes County Jail began, there is a significantly lower amount of litter along the river bank.

K.J. gets overlooked, but shouldn't | Braves

Well I didn't plan to crank out another blog before the weekend, but for some reason there were more than 800 posts on the last one after a coupl days. Humm, seems to be a lot of interest in some cat going by the screen name U Kno Who.

Seriously, it was a good couple of days with our special blog guest, and hopefully we can get Chipper and other Braves to stop by during the coming weeks while we're sequestered at Dark Star, and perhaps even during the season. In the meantime, we'll keep plugging away with the nice, motley cast we've assembled.

So I'm just gonna give you a quick blog here today, providing a clean slate on which to post on through the weekend. We'll start daily blogs middle of next week from that familiar 'burb just outside Orlandopolis, where the only thing sunnier than dispositions of well-trained Disney employees is the sun itself.

Officials Threaten to Block Tanker Funds

Tiahrt told Bloomberg News late Wednesday that there is a possibility that Congress will block funding for the program.

This comes after members of Connecticut's congressional delegation formally requested a briefing with the Air Force over the tanker contract.

Had Boeing won the deal, as expect. Pratt & Whitney would have built the engines for the 600 tankers and Hamilton Sundstrand would have worked on the electrical systems. Both companies are based in Connecticut.

In a letter sent to Air Force Secretary Michael Wynne Wednesday, the lawmakers expressed concern that the award did not consider the U.S. jobs that would be affected. They also said the Air Force did not take into account the subsidies from European governments to its aerospace industry, which puts the U.S. contractors at a disadvantage.

Where do women voters stand

It was clean, very well maintained, the tater tots were $2 and they had these huge four pitcher decanters that was almost enough for all of us. We had a blast.

I had forgot how much trauma is involved in slinging a 15 pound ball. My elbow is still a little sore.

I was hoping that Pink Martini was going to be a show at the FOX, maybe with the Atlanta Symphony. I would love to go to Miami, but tyhere would need to be several reasons to go that far.

What is duck bowling? Please tell me that you have not been throwing heavy balls at little ducks!
